Exciting news for one of our much-loved historic buildings on Sandwich High Street! Plans are currently being considered for some thoughtful renovations to an outbuilding, aiming to create a lovely guest annex. The proposed work includes updating windows and adding a new roof, all while respecting the building's heritage.
Works to facilitate conversion of outbuilding into guest annex. Internal works include: Erection of new partitions to form ground floor bathroom and first floor mezzanine WC and bedroom. Replacement first floor mezzanine structure, and staircase in new location. Replace ground floor structure incorporating underfloor heating. Steam cleaning of internal structural timbers and historic fixtures. External works include: Replacement windows introducing double glazing and repointing elevations to external envelope. NE elevation replacement ground floor door, E Elevation insert 1no 1st floor window. Replacement roof covering. Insert 3no rooflights.
